Conductors

Jos Roeden (1979) began playing the clarinet at the age of nine. In 2005 he obtained his masters degree for clarinet and bass clarinet at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he was educated by mister Sjef Douwes and mister Tom Sieuwerts. Also in 2005 he successfully completed his studies “Art and Business” at the Faculty of Arts of Leiden University.

Paul van Aubel (1979) received his first saxophone lessons with the Koninklijke Harmonie Sainte Cécile when he was ten years old. He was then taught by Jos Dobbelstein and later by Roy Hovens. Paul studied at the Conservatory of Maastricht with Adri van Velsen. He was a substitute in orchestras like the ‘Koninklijke Militaire Kapel’ and the ‘Radio Symphonie Orkest’. With Sainte Cécile he is the conductor of Les Petits Jeunes and the band ‘Roed is Droof’. He also gives saxophone lessons and plays the tenor saxophone in the Wind Orchestra of Sainte Cécile
